GDPR: Right to be informed

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) individuals based in the European Union have right to be informed about the collection and use of their personal data. This is a key transparency requirement under the GDPR.

If you fall under this category some main points to note about your right to be informed:

1. plug&paid has to provide information to its users about the purposes for processing their personal data, the retention period for that personal data, and who it will be shared with.

2. plug&paid has to provide privacy information to its users at the time we collect their personal data from them.

3. If plug&paid obtains personal data from other third party sources such as Paypal or a Facebook account, the user has to be provided with privacy information within a reasonable period of obtaining the data and no later than one month.

How does plug&paid comply 

plug&paid is compliant with the regulation and is fully transparent about its use of its users personal information. Upon registration of a EU based plug&paid user, that user is immediately informed about their rights, methods to exercise their rights and how their personal information will be used within plug&paid under GDPR jurisdiction. With their explicit consent, no processing of personal information is done by plug&paid.

When it comes to your customers (buyers), plug&paid informs them about privacy information prior to finalizing a sale in the shopping cart. Without their explicit consent no processing of personal information takes place. Your customers' consents to the plug&paid GDPR terms will be displayed in the invoices as well.
